Welcome to the Student Government Association (SGA) of SCIMD whose primary purpose is to listen to the ideas and demands of the student body and direct them to the appropriate people within the college. The purposes of the SGA are to act as the governing body of the college which enforces the rules outlined in the Student Handbook, to represent the college at the community, national, and international levels, and to help to ensure quality assurance by reporting academic or management issues to the administration. The SGA is the mediator between the students and the faculty and staff and represents student needs and recommendations to the college administration. We welcome all opinions and suggestions from the student body in our quest for effective student- staff communication within SCIMD.

The President of the SGA is a member of the college Senior Management Team (SMT). The President and the Vice-President alternate at weekly meetings of the School Organizations Council (SOC) with the Director.

The SGA organizes numerous fundraisers throughout each semester to raise money for school purposes and strives to encourage everyone in the community to be involved.
