The Phi Chi Medical Fraternity provides a meeting ground for students with common interests and goals. Membership offers a wide range of benefits from an active and closely-knit fraternal association with educational, personal, and social advantages during medical school days to important lifetime professional relationships.
Phi Chi currently has 13 active chapters internationally and total
membership that exceeds 36,000 consisting of student, associate, and
alumni members. Many chapters have active alumni associations and
alumni members have their practices throughout the world.
The Sigma Tau Chi Chapter at SCIMD offers numerous social and service
events throughout the year. Past examples include back to school mixers, midterm parties, movie night, Academic Banquet, breast cancer fundraiser and dinner, canned food drive and school wide recycling programme. All students are most welcome to join.
The Phi Chi President is a member of the college Student Organizations Council (SOC) that has weekly meetings with the Director
