  General Information

 

Luton is a vibrant, multicultural town with a population of 170,000. It is situated 30 miles north of London and just south of Cambridge. The town has strong rail, bus and air links to other parts of the United Kingdom. The town has an international airport just a couple of miles from the city center and it is a major gateway to Europe.

Like all towns in England, Luton offers a variety of entertainment pursuits including theaters, arts centers, museums, sports facilities, cinemas, restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs.

The Luton campus is situated in the heart of the town centre behind the Galaxy Centre and one minute from the railway station. Everything is within walking distance and most students can find everything nearby.

The Arndale Shopping Centre Luton is a large mall adjacent to St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine and the University of Luton. Luton Central Library

Luton Central Library has a full range of services, facilities and activities. There are separate sections for children, teenagers, audio-visual items, adult lending and reference. Students can also rent DVDs and use their computer network on a time limited basis. In order to qualify for membership, students only have to show proof of residence in Luton.
