November 23, 2003:
White
Coat Ceremony at St. Mary's Church.
St. Christopher’s College
of Medicine honored its graduates of the basic
sciences program with a ceremony at St. Mary's
Church. We would like to congratulate them on
their hard work and wish them well in clinicals.
November 6, 2003:
Many events took place this semester. The most
important of these events included the IV workshop
and suturing workshop sponsored by AMSA. These
workshops provided students an opportunity to
practice important skills that would be essential
to them as future physicians. These workshops
also helped AMSA raise funds to sponsor events
and workshops in the future.
American Medical Student
Association - Suturing Workshops
The suturing workshops were instructed by Dr.
Shawer and Dr. Omar, St. Chris faculty members.
Each student was provided their own kit which
allowed them to practice their suturing techniques.
At least 30 students attended the event.
October
30, 2003:
American
Medical Student Association - IV Workshop
The IV workshop was instructed by fellow
students who were former paramedics,
emergency medical technicians and registered
nurses. At least 70 students
attended the event and most of them were eager
to learn IV techniques.
